Christa R. Surerus

Christa R. Surerus, MA, LPC is general manager and co-founder of RxRelate, PLC.  She is a licensed professional counselor in private practice with extensive experience in assisting individuals move beyond behavioral or emotional disturbances, adjust to major life transitions,  live with serious or chronic illness, grief, or concerns about relationships.  Christa is passionate about her work with individuals and groups and has enjoyed teaching workshops on anxiety and stress reduction. With more than 7 years of experience in psychiatric research at the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, she has developed a strong emphasis on data supported approaches. Her vision is to support individuals in creating an extraordinary life and meaningful relationships through use of their personal strengths.

Jeb Sawyer

Jeb Sawyer, MA, LMFT, LPC is a licensed psychotherapist working with individuals, couples and families in private practice. As co-founder of RxRelate, PLC he has extensively researched the professional dating industry. After many years of working with couples, Jeb has developed unique insights into the dynamics of relationships. He is an experienced speaker and educator in the field of impression management--the art of establishing favorable connections with others. Using a caring, yet firm approach, he helps people move beyond their limitations to explore themselves and the relationships they want for their lives. He is available for individual consultations and leads several ongoing groups.

Theresa M. Benoit

Theresa M. Benoit, MA, LMFT, LPC holds special competencies in the areas of scientific and empirical approaches to relationships. She is a licensed psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, groups and families in private practice. Theresa has more than four years of experience conducting workshops with focus on making relationships work, empirical foundations to relationships, and using narrative and story in relating to others. Her clients and workshop participants appreciate her warm and nurturing approach in helping them find empowerment through moving beyond self-imposed limitations. Theresa is serving as consultant and adjunct faculty to RxRelate, PLC.

Tom Nelson

Tom Nelson, MA, LPC earned his Bachelor or Arts degree in Psychology from St. Meinrad College in southern Indiana, and a Master of Arts degree in Agency Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. He is licensed as a professional counselor in Minnesota and Colorado, is certified as an addiction counselor (CACIII), and has been an approved domestic violence counselor in Colorado. His work has included outpatient drug and alcohol treatment, domestic violence treatment, family, couple, and individual treatment, and providing educational talks for the community, professionals, and college students. He currently works as a domestic violence treatment program coordinator and facilitator for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation in St. Paul, Minnesota and is serving as consultant and adjunct faculty at RxRelate, PLC.

Peg Beattie

Peg Beattie, MA is a psychotherapist in private practice. Over the course of over eight years, Peg has counseled couples and individuals struggling with relationship difficulties, chemical dependency and gambling addiction. She is particularly excited about helping couples build strong, stimulating and rewarding relationships. Clients enjoy her calm and positive coaching-oriented approach. Like all staff at RxRelate, PLC., she is strength, rather than pathology focused. Peg has taught couples' workshops for several years and strongly believes in the value of assisting couples build rewarding relationships through effective communication and mutual respect. She is serving as consultant and adjunct faculty at RxRelate, PLC.
